Portrait of Oehler & Fischer Ltd.
(A company Engaged in Advanced Gas analysis)

Activities:

Oehler & Fischer Ltd. is a service company performing specific research projects. We offer customer oriented research work in applied physics. Our focus is on the development of analytical methods for simultaneous measurements of gas mixtures. The analysis methods use optical spectroscopy, especially photoacoustics, IR-spectroscopy, photothermal systems at al.

The company works closely with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and international institutions. It has participated in joint European research projects. It has won several grants from the Swiss Government. Today the company owns several patents on leading edge analytical technology.

Background

Oehler & Fischer Ltd. Was founded in 1986. The company developed a first generation of gas sensors. This was based on the photoacoustic principle and the technology was licensed to a spin-off company. Further industrial research/development projects were carried out.

The success of the venture allowed Oehler & Fischer Ltd to start research on a new generation of gas sensors.

One project was performed jointly with a German Partner under European EUREKA scheme.
